Our commitment
Accessibility is part of how we design pages, write product information and review changes before they go live.
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as our standard. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continue to review and improve the site over time.
How we test
We test the website with three methods:
- Screen reader testing, to check that pages and controls are announced clearly.
- Keyboard-only testing, to check that every control can be reached, used and seen without a mouse.
- Automated WCAG 2.2 checks, run against the website on desktop and phone screen sizes. The most recent run found no violations.
We test again as the site changes, and we review every accessibility report we receive.
Accessibility features
The site is designed to include:
- A "Skip to main content" link at the top of each page.
- A visible focus outline on links, buttons and form fields.
- Headings, landmarks and labels that help screen reader users move around a page.
- Form fields with visible labels, and error messages that explain how to fix the problem.
- Text and background colors chosen for readable contrast.
- Calories, net carbs and protein written as text on product pages.
- Reduced animation when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Layouts that adapt to phone screens and to zoomed text.
Browsers and assistive technology
The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop and mobile, and with common screen readers and other assistive technologies.
Third-party content
Some features on the site, such as checkout, subscriptions, reviews and chat, are provided by other companies. We work with these providers on accessibility and ask them to address issues we identify. If a third-party feature gets in your way, contact us and we will help you complete your task.
