An Eastern European dish, pierogies, can be done in a low carb version despite how it’s made by wrapping fillings in a pastry dough. By using Fathead Dough, some of the carbs can be cut out. Traditional wheat based flour can be swapped out for nut flour, and with the addition of some cheese, it doesn’t sacrifice flavor for fitness. The fillings don’t have to change, but those looking to seriously dial down the carbs can change out the usual potatoes as well.
