But this cause other issues in the body such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. NFL quarterback Tom Brady has adapted an anti-inflammatory diet that is catching on. He and his family only eat a diet of 80% vegetable and 20% lean meats and fish. The family has also removed some foods that doctors say are good for inflammation, like mushrooms and tomatoes. Dr. Nicole Belkin says that people only need a 12 week regime to improve inflammation in the body. And that a diet similar to the Mediterranean diet can also improve inflammation. It isn’t as restrictive as the Brady’s diet.
