Best sources of Vitamin A

Vitamin A is a bit of a misnomer. It should ideally be called the vitamins A, plural. It’s a group of vitamins that contain retinoids and carotinoids. These nutrients both complement and also sometimes create one another. The vitamins a are necessary for good vision, cell growth, as antioxidants and immune health. We need both plant and animal foods to get the full complement of these vitamins, especially shrimp, cow’s milk, eggs, fish and brightly colored vegetables and fruit.
