How many calories a person should consume each day depends on the person’s metabolism. The more active a person is, the more calories he or she should consume. If a person consumes fewer calories than their body needs to function, the following symptoms may be observed: low energy, hair loss, always feeling hungry, not able to get pregnant, trouble sleeping, moodiness and/or anxiety, lower body temperature, and constipation.
